Time for another creation for Monthly Makers! The theme for this month is “books”, and I seriously had a million ideas at the start of the month, but as the days went by I slowly lost interest in every single idea I had. Which is fair, I guess, since I’m probably having the few weeks I’ve had in years right now, but it was still pretty frustrating.
Anyway, I decided to do what I usually do when I can’t come up with something to create on the theme of the month – to start with what I wanted to make and find an interpretation with that as a starting point. And so I have been creating a lot using my iPhone lately (bad health = lot of time spent in bed = phone art equals only art I have energy for) and I tried to figure out a way I could create something for the theme using my phone. And I had been working with an old picture of some flowers the night before, and realised that I could make something that just felt a little bit like a dark version of Wonderland by just tweaking the technique a little bit.
So that’s my interpretation, and here are the three images in the series I’ve named “Curious”.
Monthly Makers is a challenge for anyone who wants to be more creative. During 2017 we’ll be launching twelve themes – one for every month – to inspire and challenge you. For June the theme is BOOKS and Alicia is hosting. Comment on her post here with a link to your creation before 28/11 to be a part of the compilation. More inspiration can be found over on Pinterest.
The people behind Monthly Makers 2017 are Alicia, Beatrice, Elsa, Emilia, Fredrika, Johanna,
Julia, Mikaela, Ruth, Stina, Wilda and me. Be inspired, create and challenge yourself all through the year.
